Why make another gentle cleanser?
From Dan: "Originally you guys asked me to make a larger size 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. I was going to stop there, but I use this stuff too, and the Eucerin moisturizer we all loved got discontinued, so I decided to also develop a moisturizer. I figured if I'm making two out of three parts of The Regimen I might as well also make a cleanser. Once I decided to make a cleanser, I chose to make it a liquid. Liquid cleansers are less drying and can more easily achieve pH balance. However, liquid cleansers never lathered enough for me. So I asked several chemists to help me make a pH neutral liquid cleanser that also lathers well. The final product was a mixture of carefully combined cleansing and calming ingredients which achieved an exact pH of 5.5. Since the pH of human skin is about 5.5, the result is a cleanser that leaves the skin in an even harmony without over drying or stripping the skin. And it produces a satisfyingly rich lather. I was thrilled. I also made sure there were no perfumes or dyes. If you're looking for a colored or scented cleanser, this is not the one for you. Instead, it is simple and neutral pH, but with a nice substantial feeling in the palm, a grafitying lather, and a clean rinse."

Does it take off makeup?
Yes, it works at removing foundation, powder and blush. Acne.org Moisturizer also removes makeup very well. Jojoba oil may be superior for removing mascara and eye makeup.
How do I use it to shave?
You can use Acne.org Cleanser to shave just as you would a shaving cream. Dispense into your palm--3 pumps is good--and get a nice thick lather going. Apply as shave cream and off you go. It's as good or better than almost all shaving creams, gels, or soaps and helps you avoid potentially irritating ingredients in these products. See the guide to shaving for more detailed instructions.
Why is it so inexpensive?
From Dan: "My #1 goal is to make The Regimen accessible to everyone. That's why I decided to make large products at affordable prices. I can manage to price products affordably because you are ordering directly from me, and I do not advertise."
How many do I need per month?
